Back in time.
Originally built by businessman C.C. Brooks, The Lido opened in 1957, ushering in 45 years of classic films up on the big screen. This was until 2002 when the doors of The Lido were closed and the new Landmark Cinema was opened in town.
Becoming a beacon of entertainment.
In 2002, after 45 years of serving as the only movie theatre in Fort St. John, The Lido closed it’s doors.
Local entrepreneur Brian Kirschner recognized the unique opportunity to transform it into a live venue, renovating and reopening The Lido in 2007.
The Lido has fast become a beacon of entertainment in the Peace Region in the 15 years since it reopened in 2007. It has welcomed some of entertainment’s biggest names to its stage and provided a showcase for local entertainers and activities.
The Lido provides the perfect environment for concerts, comedy, weddings, meetings and fundraising events.
The Lido is really “The People’s Theatre”, meaning, it can be anything you want it to be. It has a dinner theatre setup with tables, but has the energy of a concert hall/night club.
With a capacity of 300 people, the theatre can be transformed for a myriad of different uses. Full bar service and catering are available upon request.

Introducing a new place to get together!
The Luna Lounge
Recently, The Lido has completed construction of the the only rooftop patio in the Fort St. John area, The Luna Lounge.
Building of the patio began in 2021 during Covid-19 shutdowns. While it was a tough couple of years for everyone, we are excited that despite some of the adversity, The Luna Lounge was created.
Being an outside space, it is weather dependent. The space is available to rent for birthdays, corporate and entertainment bookings.
The Luna Lounge features seating for up to 50 people, with full bar service and outside catering available upon request.
